CS1 Collection is formed from two pieces of furniture, coffee table and side table, and it was born from the collaboration between the American inspiration and the professional Swiss production, both united under the name Astfrei. The concept is planned to go into production starting next year. It highlights the symbiosis of materials and exploration, united under a fluent design. CS1 forms a harmonious assembly, the interaction between walnut wood, concrete and copper causes a unique aesthetic appeal. Although the countertop of the tables is thin and seemingly fragile, the entire structure is very robust. The cold concrete contrasts with the dark walnut wood and the leg of copper gives warmth to the assembly. Designer Mathias Hintermann from California is the author of CS1 design, the collection is going to be produced in Switzerland starting with 2015.
