Text description provided by the architects. This house has a composition of typical urban house in Tokyo. It is usually three-storey house with top portion cut off at an angle designated by height restriction code, in order to build the maximum allowable volume.

一楼有车库、正门和两间卧室。二楼的起居室位于街道的开口下面，天花板倾斜、浴室、厨房和餐厅都有天窗。三楼是主卧室、露台和中间的空隙，连接第二层和第三层。

The first floor is allocated for garage, main entrance and two bedrooms. The second floor has a living room beneath the cutout portion along the street with skylight on the tilted ceiling, bathroom, kitchen and dining room. On the third floor is master bedroom, terrace, and void space in the middle that connects the second and the third floors.

外立面大部分是封闭的街道侧。自然光从天窗进入二楼，并提供光井将自然光输送到地下室楼层。房子的背面是向场地后面的空地开放的，所以从每一层都可以看到开阔的视野。

The exterior facade is mostly closed on street side. Natural light enters from skylight to the second floor, and light well is provided to deliver natural light to the basement floor. Backside of the house is open towards the vacant lot behind the site, so you get open view from each floor.

几个对比纹理和颜色都使用在外部和内部表面。在混凝土外墙表面，采用胶合板形式，采用日本雪松、铝百叶窗和石膏制成的木门。内面采用核桃木地板、抹灰墙、天花板、黑砂岩、钢窗。我们仔细地挑选了这些材料，这样房子就会随着时间的推移而变得更漂亮、更有吸引力。

Several contrasting textures and colors are used on both exterior and interior surfaces. On the exterior surfaces rough texture of concrete wall using plywood form, a wooden gate made of Japanese cedar, aluminum shutter and plaster are used. And on interior surface walnut flooring, plastered wall and ceiling, black sandstone, steel window sash are used. We carefully selected these materials so that the house will age beautifully and become more attractive and as time goes by.
