The choice of materials was dictated by the landscaped environment on one hand, the forest of pine trees and of the other one by the tones of the village for the zinc. The villa is the interstice between 2 atmospheres characterized by 2 gardens: - The main garden is occupied up to south end by the existing pine forest, which gets in the beautiful days the ideal shade for the villa. The ageing of the natural wood on the south facade will allow to get closer to the tone of trees existing on the site by assuring a perfect integration. - A cottage garden develops in the North, between the limit and the house; it is a closed garden convenient to the vegetable and floral cultures in memory of this old market garden plot.

Wooden shutters in the south and zinc shutters in the North will close the house, widely opened on the outside when inhabited, when non-inhabited. It so takes its sense: a box of raw wood protected by a "zinc hand".
