The Olympic village is expected to have a significant position in the world sports community and the Central Asian sports community. Ashgabat had already been awarded the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in 2017, and this has now become a key focus of the project.

The new complex developed by Arup will provide a new focus for the country’s youth, sporting achievement, and the hosting of international mega games. With contributors from around 20 Arup offices and external sub-consultants, Arup is providing architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, public health engineering and infrastructure design, including furniture, furnishings and equipment.
