Text description provided by the architects. The concept of this interior project is “peeling”. In most modern architecture, finishes cover the structure. Interior spaces in particular are always colored by wall finishings. We were curious: ‘what would happen if we peeled off the finish?’ Our design began from this question.

在这个商店里，剥皮的表面具有不同的功能，如桌子或楼梯。商店的基本内部材料是橡木板。木头表面剥落成桌子或楼梯。人们可以看到一个白色的表面，那里的木质表面被移除。

In this store, the peeled surface takes on different functions, such as that of a table or a staircase. The basic interior material for the store is oak wood panel. The wooden surface is peeled out to make a table or a stair. People can see a white surface where the wooden surface was removed.

在此之前，人们不得不在一楼外使用公共楼梯箱。为了连接楼层，我们需要在楼梯上挖个洞，这是商店的主要物品。第一层和第二层之间的楼梯由两部分组成。一个是石头做的。它位于一楼。它有五个步骤。它是以压缩方式构造的。另一部分是钢做的。它挂在二楼。第五步和第六步之间存在着明显的差距。那就是两层楼在楼梯中间分开的地方。人们会清楚地意识到他们何时何地进入了另一个空间。

Before, people had to use the public stair case outside of the first floor. To connect the floors, we needed to make a hole for a staircase, a major object for the store. The stair between the first and the second floor is made of two parts. One is made of stone. It is located on the first floor. It has five steps. It is constructed in compression. The other part is made of steel. It is hung on the second floor. And there is a clear gap between the fifth and the sixth step. That is where the two floors are separated in the middle of the stairs. People will realize where and when they enter into the other space clearly.

首尔市经营着这家商店，主要是生产设计产品、服装和配饰的单人公司在这家商店里展示产品。客户还想利用这家商店在晚上举办聚会。任何设计师都可以租给发布会，这通常需要一个小时装秀的跑道。因此，客户要求二楼的面积可以迅速清除。我们把衣架的酒吧设在二楼中间。当用户想要清空空间时，可以移动这些条。

The City of Seoul runs this store; mostly single-person corporations that produce design products, clothes, and accessories apply to display products in this store. The client also wanted to use this store to host parties in the evening. Any designer can rent this space for a launch event, which often requires a runway for a small fashion show. Therefore the client requested that the second floor area can be cleared out quickly. We located the clothes hangers’ bar in the middle of the second floor. These bars can be moved when the users want to empty the space.
