我们面临的挑战是设计一个宽敞舒适的空间，让足够多的阳光照射在这个被高楼环绕但位于西侧的小场地上。

Our challenge was to design a wide comfortable space on which enough sunlight pours, in the small site surrounded by tall buildings but west side.

通过在一楼放置主卧室和厕所，使二楼的起居空间和厨房空间在场地边界的挫折调节范围内达到最大容量。

By placing the main bedroom and the water closet in the first floor, we obtained the maximal volume for the living and kitchen space on the second floor within the setback regulation from site boundary.

“箱梁”，其中包括儿童的房间和自由空间，使一个柱-没有宽的空间。从盒子上方的南面高地上，房间里充满了自然的阳光。

The "box beam", which includes the children's room and free space inside, enables a column-less wide space. From top of the southern elevation over the box, the room is illuminated by full of natural sunlight.
