Text description provided by the architects. The project is a small semi-detached house of land area 323 sqm and a built up area of 493 sqm. It is made up of 2 layers, an outer layer and an inner layer; a house within a house.

双层建筑干预的目的在于实现这三个关键点：1。保护内层不受太阳和雨水影响的外层，中间有一个中间空域。这创造了一个热带房屋，而不必使用深屋顶悬垂，以保护内部宜居空间。

The bilayer architectural intervention aims to fulfil this 3 key points: 1. The outer layer protecting the inner layer from the sun and the rain with an intermediate airspace in between. This creates a tropical house without having to use deep roof overhangs to protect the inner habitable spaces.
