Text description provided by the architects. For this house project, we’ve tried to create a new relation between indoor basketball court and living house. The layout arrangement of this house is inspired by typical gymnasium layouts, where we have the indoor basketball court planned in centre core space of the house, with rooms located on opposite sides of the court.

这座房子的设计有着独特的规模，这使得人们很难确定室内空间是大还是窄；篮球场的大小相当于普通篮球场的四分之一，有一个3050毫米高的篮圈，还有一个6000毫米高的天花板，甚至足够大到可以罚球。中心法庭的设计也是多用途的，有可能成为家庭图书馆，随着时间的推移，客户可以探索更多的可能性。

The house is designed with a unique scale, which makes it hard to define whether the interior space is grand or narrow; the basketball court is ¼ the size of a regular basketball court, with a 3050mm high basketball ring, and a 6000mm high ceiling, which is even large enough to play free-throws. The centre court is also designed to be multi-purpose, with a possibility in becoming a home library, and more possibilities to be explored by the client over time.
