Fortnum & Mason enlisted strategy-led industrial design studio Map to redesign the humble spork for its picnic and take-away offering

A recess in the neck of the Tritensil provides a more comfortable grip when being used as a knife for cutting or when spreading afternoon tea staples like clotted cream and jam
Rather than position the prongs of the fork in the centre, Map have placed them asymmetrically so as to improve the functionality of the fork when eating salads
The new ergonomic spork has been produced in Fortnum & Mason’s signature Eau de Nil colour.
For professional picnickers, the store has also created a stainless steel version that will be offered as an accessory for Fortnum & Mason’s popular hampers
