The Hostem philosophy is based on a simple aesthetic which denounces the 'shock and awe' concept of menswear stores.

Designed by JAMESPLUMB, the store is built around the reclaimed wooden floorboards and thick Swedish linen curtains. 

The former art space is complemented by the collections of such designers as Ann Demuelemeester, Visvim and Rick Owens.

The store is also fitted with vintage US trouble lighting which, hanging from long cables, allows customers to manoeuvre to better view the pieces.   

The store is made up of three conjoining rooms which each incorporate different elements of Hostem.

The first two house Hostem's permanent collections: the first with footwear on concrete plinths and the other, a more intimate space, is home to their more daring designers including Damir Doma, Julias and MA+...

... whilst the third is an ever evolving store where designers will be invited to take up short-term residencies.
