The world’s best collectible design by the most illustrious galleries turned out for the 11th edition of Design Miami/ Basel, including the late, great Zaha Hadid’s most recent furniture works which took centre stage at the show’s entrance, pictured. The display including her marble collection for Italian company Citco, and her 'Mew' table for furniture brand Sawaya & Moroni

有传言称,这两件作品几乎立即被抢购一空,这清楚地证明了商业和创意在这里是活跃的。
As in previous years, the fair included the Curio series, which presents eight 'cabinets of curiosities' dotted throughout the fair. Pictured: the Delta collection by Studio Formafantasma by Galleria O, in collaboration with Fonderia Artistica Battaglia
Also part of the Design Curio project was Soft Baroque's Surface Service collection. Presented by Copenhagen-based gallery Etage, the project features a juxtaposition of hard and soft surfaces with a printed trompe l'oeil effect
Headed by Sam Baron and Fabrica, 'Table of contents' is an exploration of glass presented under the Design Curio aegis by Zurich gallery Roehrs & Boetsch. In the collection, young designers including Giorgia Zanellato, Pascal Hien and Daniel Rous use glass as a medium for questioning human nature and perception
The fair's lounge, designed by Berlin-based architecture studio Kuehn Malvezzi, featured the 1960s Ilmari Tapiovaara collection, reissued by Artek in collaboration with Kvadrat
Presented by Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Studio Job's delightful 'Banana Lamp' is a faithful reproduction of the exotic fruit, featuring polished and hand-painted bronze with mouth-blown glass
Diego Giacometti's wall bookcase, presented by Galerie Jacques Lacoste, is an exceptional one-off creation that the Swiss artist made for Marc Barbezat, Jean Genet's publisher, in 1967. A large and intricate corner bookshelf in brass, the 'Chambre à Livres' was made to measure for Barbezat's Parisian apartment to hold his rare books collection
The sensual lighting pieces by Verre Lumiere, featuring designers (from left) Étienne Fermigier, Ronald Cecil Sporters, Ben Swildens, Michel Boyer and Michel Mortier
Demisch Danant's booth featured an impressive collection from French lighting company Verre Lumiere. With lighting pieces from the 1970s and 1980s, the display identified the quintessentially French aesthetic of the time, with sinuous designs shown on a dusty pink set
From Galerie Alain Marcelpoil, a 1958 desk and chair by Andrè Sornay
Milanese gallery Erastudio Apartment-Gallery had a blacked-out booth, where the dark mood enhanced the colourful nature of Ettore Sottsass' chair and sofa, and Nanda Vigo's mirrors and rug
Galerie Eric Philippe focused on furniture by Swedish designer Axel Einar Hjorth and lighting by Finnish creator Paavo Tynell
The two designers' works, centred around a neutral palette, were accompanied by rare Swedish MMF tapestries
Gallerist Franck Laigneau's booth was dedicated to 1920s anthroposophic design, with wooden furniture by Hermann Razenberger. The Parisian gallery focuses on this design movement, originated from Rudolf Steiner's school of thought and focused on organic, functional furniture capable of vivifying the environment
Friedman Benda dedicated its stand to the work of designer Joris Laarman and his explorations in digital fabrication and 3D printing. Featuring seating and screens, the exhibition centres around Laarman's experimental production methods
Joris Laarman's 'Microstructures' chair, created in aluminium with a gradient effect
Galerie Kreo presented a monumental oak table by Barber & Osgerby next to a large-scale curtain from Hella Jongerius’ UN North Delegates’ Lounge, concealing an extraordinary Maarten Van Severen 'Bibliothèque'
Gallery Fumi’s stand, structured like a house, featured an outdoors space with two collections by Max Lamb, while visitors looked through a window into the Fumi home
Inside, the gallery presented two new tables, including a marble creation by architect/artist duo Brooksbank & Collins, pictured
London gallerist Louisa Guinness’ stand had a fresh new attitude to the traditional jewellery displays within the fair: her artists’ jewellery was sophisticatedly displayed at the front of her booth...
...while the back of house presented an installation titled 'The Museum of Artists’ Jewellery; an Introduction'. Pieces from 1935 to today by Man Ray, Alexander Calder, Ron Arad and Tim Noble and Sue Webster were displayed within an immersive back-room installation, a new context that challenged the design of traditional jewellery stands
A Design Miami/Basel newcomer, Brussels-based Maniera was one of the most interesting additions to the fair. Specialising in furniture by international architects, the Belgian gallery displayed a new collection by Studio Mumbai’s Bijoy Jain as well as projects by Richard Venlet, architects’ group De Vylder Vinck Taillieu and Anne Holtrop. Each practice explored different materials and media to bring their aesthetic flair to life through extraordinary furniture collectibles
Bijoy Jain's 'Brick Study' bench, created in collaboration with Maniera and inspired by Indian building traditions
A tribute to Claude Parent, staged by Galerie Philippe Gravier, featured large-scale sculptures as well as furniture by the late architect
New York gallery R & Company created a geometric set to display a collection of 1950s pieces by Greta Magnusson-Grossman
Brussels design dealer Victor Hunt juxtaposed the neon and resin creations of Sabine Marcelis with the enamelled and lacquered metal furniture pieces by Korean designer Kwangho Lee
